Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) predicts that we waste about 1.3 billion tons of food globally every year.
The main cause is bad post-harvest agriculture infrastructure which includes warehousing, cold storage and food processing.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a ₹1 lakh crore Agriculture Infrastructure Fund meant for setting up storage and processing facilities in India.
This is a big opportunity for Indian agri-entrepreneurs.
