People sometimes curate and engage on LinkedIn with this question in the back of their mind.

I used to think about it too.

While at Microsoft, I used LinkedIn like a journal. I documented what I learnt everyday and made sure I was being helpful.

I learnt that as far as I’m being honest about my thought process, convey it rationally and take time to understand different perspectives – people appreciate it.

On his last day at Microsoft, I remember my manager gave me a big hug and said – “Keep doing what you’re doing”.

So keep engaging, be honest and understand different perspectives. Not just your boss, but everybody will love it.
